You are cordially invited to participate in the 22nd Annual SS. Peter & Paul Holiday Basketball Tournament. This year’s tournament is scheduled to begin on Saturday, December 12, 2009 and end on Sunday, January 3, 2010.

This year, we have opened up the tournament to travel teams and other leagues and have a two division format—one OPEN division and one PAROCHIAL division in both the Junior Varsity and Varsity division, with champions declared in each, and then a final match-up with the OPEN v. PAROCHIAL.

There will be four sub-divisions as follows:

Every team is guaranteed two games. The Junior Varsity Divisions will play six minute quarters and the Varsity Divisions will play seven minute quarters. Overtime will be three minutes. CIAC High School rules will govern all play. Trophies will be awarded to the Top Three Teams in each Division. Individual trophies will be awarded to the Championship Team in each Division. The Tournament Committee will select an “All Tournament Team” for each Division at the end of the tournament.

Basketballs are provided for warm-ups and games. There will be no other basketballs allowed in the gym.

Each team is allowed to have the Head Coach, one Assistant Coach, and one Scorekeeper on the bench during games. Parents are not allowed to sit on the team bench during games.

This year we will offer an economical Family Pass admission which will allow unlimited admission (for up to four individuals) at one price of $25. This alleviates families having to pay for each and every game your team’s families support at the tournament. Detailed information regarding this option will be available shortly and will be sent under separate cover.
