Dear Parents:

Every student at S.S. Peter and Paul School has the right to come to school unafraid and without the threat of intimidation. Every student has the right to learn in an unthreatening and safe environment.

It has come to my attention that there have been occasions in the classrooms, recess and bus whereby inappropriate behavior has occurred.

Some students are being harassed by others through physical contact and verbal bullying. This is unacceptable.

Our school has a zero tolerance for any of these behaviors. Hitting, poking, kicking or otherwise laying a hand on one another in an unfriendly manner goes against school policy. Name-calling, malicious comments, intentional put-downs and forced alienation are also against policy.

I am sending this letter so that you may go over these points with your child and stress to him/her that any of these actions will result in consequences. Detention, suspension or expulsion will result.
