Campbell’s Soup Label, Box Top, Tyson Project A+, Soda Tab, Toner Programs

Now that the students are settled into their classes and things are calming down, we would like to again start up our regular collection programs. All information can be found on the school website at www.ssppwtby.com under the Home & School link.

Many redemption guidelines have changed so please be sure to cut and save items properly. It is also VERY helpful that you separate these items because they are all collected by different individuals.

Campbell’s Soup Labels: The collection goal for 2007-2008 is 6,000 UPC’s. We no longer collect the entire front label, only the UPC. If you have a product worth 5 points, please keep it separate or leave it intact for later cutting by the coordinator. All other information can be found at www.labelsforeducation.com

Box Tops: Box Tops are collected until March 1, 2008 and are then turned in for approximately $1000.00 for our school. All other information can be found at www.boxtops4education.com.

Box Tops provides three easy ways to earn cash for your school through everyday activities. Your school can earn up to $60,000 per year! That's as much as $20,000 each from clipping Box Tops, shopping at the Box Tops Marketplace^SM and using the Box Tops Visa® card.

Tyson Project A+: The Tyson Project A+ collection is in it’s second year and works similiarly to the Box Top Program. For every 100 A+ labels we collect, we make about $25.00 for our school. More info can be found at www.tyson.com

Soda Tabs: We collect the “pop tabs” for the Ronald McDonald House located in New Haven. They redeem the tabs they collect for money to support their services. More info can be found on their website at www.rmhc.org

Pop Tab Fun Facts

• The Ronald McDonald House Pop Tab Collection Program was established in 1987 by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Ronald McDonald House community.
• To date, more than 400 million pop tabs have been collected, generating more than $4 million.
• The ring-pull can was invented in 1962.
• The pop tab was invented by Ermal Fraze in Kettering, Ohio.
• Kettering's Fraze Pavilion, a popular amphitheater in Dayton, Ohio, is named after the pop tab inventor.

Toner Collection: We also collect used toner cartridges, printer cartridges and cell phones that are then redeemed for money/points for our school. Please kindly drop them off at the rear gym doors near the kitchen during school functions or contact the office to make other arrangements.

(All points are either “saved” or redeemed for necessary school supplies.)
